On Thursday, December 12th, 2024, our colleagues Daniel Telgen and Zafer Aktepe attended the Prevention Award ceremony hosted by the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for the Energy, Textile, Electrical, and Media Products Sectors (BG ETEM) in Cologne. They were recognized for their outstanding efforts to improve safety between the needle machines at our NV 6 facility. Together with Konstantin Usov and Martin Hans, they contributed to the planning and implementation of these vital protective measures.
Although our initiative did not receive the main award this year, our efforts did not go unnoticed. BG ETEM acknowledged our commitment with a special mention and highlighted the importance of such projects in fostering a culture of safety in the workplace. This recognition underscores our innovation and dedication to the safety and well-being of our employees.
In the coming weeks, we will decide how to use the prize money in a targeted way to further promote occupational safety and employee health.
The BG ETEM Prevention Award is presented every two years and honors companies that promote workplace safety and health through innovative ideas and projects. The award aims to achieve several objectives:
• Promoting talent acquisition: Companies can present themselves as attractive employers for potential applicants.
• Improving workplace climate: Emphasizing safety and health puts employee well-being at the center.
• Strengthening competitiveness: The Prevention Award helps companies stand out from competitors and showcase their innovative strength.
