With retroactive effect from 1 January 2015, the TWE Group has acquired Isowood Holding GmbH, which has its headquarters in Rudolstadt, Germany. Isowood is a highly specialised nonwovens manufacturer, using predominantly natural fibres such as hemp, flax, kenaf or jute, in combination with plastics. This core competence makes Isowood a perfect member of the TWE Group: nonwovens made from natural fibres – environmentally-friendly and versatile in use.

Isowood GmbH was founded in 1997, and began with the manufacture of the first fibre mats in 1998. Over time the company expanded its product range, and competes highly successfully with products such as its natural fibre mats.

Isowood processes natural fibres into malleable mats that are tailored to the specific application, particularly in the automotive sector.

The products also boast excellent ecological aspects as they are manufactured from renewable raw materials and are recyclable.

With the expansion into the natural fibres market, we are investing in securing promising future markets, in the quality of our products and not least in a shared future. Some 1,300 employees are now dedicated to fulfilling customers' requirements and using development capacity to bring innovations to fruition.
