Martin Knupp says in his book of 1986, "Yonex Badminton Annual“,  about this sport:

"A badminton player should have the perseverance of a marathon runner, the speed of a sprinter, the bounce of a high jumper, the arm strength of a javelin thrower, the power of a blacksmith, the agility of a gymnast, the response capacity of a fencer, the ability to concentrate of a chess player, the knowledge of human nature of a vacuum salesman, the physical stamina of an arctic explorer, the strength of nerves of a demolition expert, the inconsideration of a colonial ruler, the obsession of a mountaineer as well the intuition and fantasy of an artist. There are not many good badminton players because these properties are rarely combined in one person."

Even though we do not have all of these properties, we nevertheless play badminton regularly with our colleagues. Be it in singles or doubles - badminton is always fun.
